Crazy Wood Art - Ioan Galgoczy

Hello everyone and welcome to Crazy Wood Art. My name is Galgoczy Ioan and all of the works you will be able to see here are my own. In order to get to know each other a litle bit better i will tell you a few things about myself.
I was born in 1954 in the town of Gherla, Romania. Since an early age, I was fascinated by nature and its wonders, and I pursued interests such as hunting, fishing, wild mushroom gathering, canoeing, also being a self-proclaimed expert in bow and slingshot shooting and I have an extensive knowledge of just about anything that involves nature.
Carpenter by trade, I have also embraced wood sculpting and carving as means to relax and I am the proud owner of an exceptional and rare set of carving tools.
Combining two of my passions, nature and working with wood, I have discovered many new things that can be done with interesting wood pieces provided by nature (branches, roots etc.). At the moment, my work involves combining and modifying wood pieces to create interesting works.
