Cartierul Militari - București

Military District is a great neighborhood located in the 6th District in western Bucharest (Romania's capital), the neighborhood comprising mostly apartment blocks. Before 1980 there were only houses in this area, but they were demolished to make way for blocks. Military District is bordered on the north and the Broadway theater district Chiajna at Cotroceni east, south and west Camp Road neighborhood with the city's ring road.

History

Militari district is an old neighborhood, formerly common, which kept rural look to 1970 as contained only houses that were then demolished to make way for ten-storey blocks. The first row of blocks was opened in 1966 and includes, among other things blocks 22, 21, 20 on the north side of Maniu Boulevard (formerly Peace).

Administration and Economy

In terms of green space, military district is not very good. Here there are several small parks, but are rather playgrounds. Park is the only park Polytechnic higher.

In the neighborhood there are two markets, a police station and an office of accidents findings, eight kindergartens, nine elementary schools, two high schools, two school groups and the Polytechnic University. Also in the Militari district student complex is located and Leo. Currently, the military district has all necessary utilities (water, sewer, gas, telephone, internet), and road infrastructure has been modernized.

Military District has the advantage of receiving many shopping centers. It's about shopping Sir, Cora Pantelimon, Carrefour Militari Metro Military Bricostore Praktiker Military Hornbach Military Military Mobexpert, Kaufland Militari and Auchan Militari. Also Mall Plaza Romania and AFI Palace Cotroceni are located in close proximity to military headquarters. Other advantages of this district are RATB and Metrorex transmission. Thus, passing through the eastern neighborhood served by a tram line RATB route 41, and in addition is crossed by trolleys and buses linking with other areas in Bucharest, including downtown. Military district territory is 5 subway stations.

One drawback is the noise Militari district. According to a noise map of Bucharest, in Militari district there are around 70 decibels, which is also the average in Bucharest. Also, the military is a pretty dusty neighborhood, because here is built a lot. Some residential complexes that have been raised include the blink West Park, Quadra Place, Sema Park, Ten Blocks, Spring Lujerului, Militari Residence.
